In 2001 the Northeast Kingdom Arts Council was formed to take stewardship of the historic Hardwick Town House and bring life back to this facility on a year round basis. Today the opera house serves as a community gathering space in a variety of capacities: The building hosts the local high school drama club, the Craftsbury Chamber Players, lectures, dramatic and musical productions, and a gallery for local artists.

Our Mission

The mission of the Northeast Kingdom Arts Council is to preserve the historic Hardwick Town House while making it a dynamic center of arts and culture for the region through educational and entertaining programming.

Our Board

The NEKArts board is entirely volunteer based. The current board roster is below. Please feel free to talk to any of us if you have questions or an interest in joining us in our mission to restore the Hardwick Town House and bring artistic and cultural opportunities to the Northeast Kingdom.
